Go Green Grade 2
Throughout unit 2 “Be the Best You Can Be”, grade 2 students gained
knowledge about the effects of our lifestyle on Mother Earth. After
watching several videos and inquiring about these problems, they came up
with several decisions to help save their environment. One of those
decisions was recycling. For this reason, our school welcomed a group of
Hariri Canadian University students who have organized the “Go Green HCU”
club. They proudly presented an interesting video about recycling glass,
metal, plastic and paper. After that, they distributed several posters
that ensure the importance of recycling and mention some steps to be
better eco-citizens, and recycling boxes to put in classes. At last, all
of grade 2 students shared in the Green Oath by hand painting. Grade 2
students showed great enthusiasm and it was a visit that our young
learners will never forget.
