In the PYP, mathematics is viewed as a means to support inquiry where it shows students’ way of thinking.  In grade two, students worked cooperatively in groups to inquire about the meaning of addition and subtraction, and to learn about the relationship between them. They used different resources such as dictionaries, math stories, and mathematical books.
