Choose Nursing: Make Difference in Your Life and in the Lives of Others

Representatives from Rafeek Hariri School of Nursing (HSON) at the American University of Beirut, the first nursing school in the Middle East, visited our high school campus and met with tenth and eleventh graders to shed light on the profession of nursing. Mrs. Leen Barbari introduced the different degrees offered at the school. The tools of the nursing profession consist of a special combination of human compassion and advanced medical technology, and its various programs offer students great opportunities for personal growth and professional development. High school students realized that nurses are highly in demand in many different sectors of the health services industry. Besides, they were informed of the many benefits and advantages a career in nursing affords them. With endless job opportunities, high salaries, variety in settings and roles, flexibility in schedules, and many options for advanced education, one will always be growing and learning.
