Open Day at AUB
April 7 was an indelible day in our schooling lives. We had the pleasure of attending the open day at one of the most prestigious universities in Lebanon and the Middle East, The American University of Beirut. Many of us grasped this fruitful opportunity to widen our view of the future of our education. On this day we drew inspiration from AUB’s clean, green and indescribable atmosphere. We were astonished by the richness and profoundness of this university curriculum regardless of range. Soon were roaming through AUB’s campus like children lost in an amusement park exploring every building and class with our discerning eyes. On this day we gained hope and motivation for achieving the results we never thought we could achieve, and the results that surpassed our expectations. After that we observed the students attending with conscientious and common interest, so we realized that once these students were in our position as simple high school students. Soon we felt no doubt in our minds and hearts that this was the place to go, and this was the place where we were given the knowledge and the power to excel, to strive for excellence and most importantly to chase the dreams we follow.
