Houssam Hariri High School is a great place to try new
things-join clubs, serve the community, audition for a school play,
attend astronomy nights, and even get involved in the Student Council.
The student council is the highest authority in the decision-making in
the student body at the High School since it is elected by all the
students of Grades 10, 11 and 12. The High School Student Council
represents the students where the rights and interests are concerned. It
trains students in leadership, fosters appreciation for self-government,
and encourages initiative and participation in the activities at the
school. This year more than 25 students ran for the post and wrote
nomination speeches to show their classmates why they should vote for
them. On Wednesday, October 20, 2010 the elections took place in all the
High School classes and the results were as follow:
